Woodforest National Bank and Merchants' Choice Payment Solutions comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and the USA Patriot Act to help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities. Federal law requires that all financial institutions obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account or becomes a new customer of the financial institution. Our Customer Identification Program is designed to comply with all federal mandates.

What this means for you, the customer, is that when you open an account or obtain a service from the bank, we will ask you your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We will also be asking you to provide to us identifying documentation, such as driver’s license or other forms of identification. We can and will refuse to open an account or provide services if you fail to provide adequate identification, or the bank is dissatisfied with the identification provided.

Privacy Policy

At Woodforest National Bank, MCPS, the privacy and security of our non-public personal information is number one to us. The following policy discusses how we manage any such information.

We collect non-public personal information about you from the following sources:

  • Information received from you on applications or other forms.
  • Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others; and
  • Information we receive from consumer reporting agencies as required by the USA PATRIOT Act, we also collect information and take action necessary to verify your identity.

We may disclose all the information we collect, as described above, to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with which we have joint marketing agreements.

We do not disclose any non-public personal information about our customers to anyone, including our affiliates, except as permitted by law. You do not need to take any action to receive this benefit.

Internally, we restrict access to non-public personal information about you to our associates who need to know that information to provide you customer support and or to maintain your records. Our internal conduct clearly defines the manner in which an associate may access, use, or disseminate non-public information. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your non-public personal information.

If you decide to close your account(s) or become an inactive customer, we will adhere to the policies and practices as described in this notice.
